The area where the internment camp was built in 1918 is now Fyshwick. In 1921-1922 the buildings not sold off or moved to other sites in the FCT were converted into tenements and single men's accommodation for construction workers.  The following chapter on Molonglo is a draft for a revised edition of Builders of Canberra 1909-1929.  It includes electoral rolls for 1928, 1929, 1935 etc.  The population in 1925 of the settlement was 750 - only 50 more than Westlake and was the largest settlement in the FCT.  This represented around one fifth of the population of the FCT.
